DESCRIPTION OF AREA

º        The province of Ica is one of the five provinces that conform the department of Ica. It’s located in the central area of the region and limits to the north with Pisco, East with Huancavelica and Palpa, south with Nazca and west with the Pacific Ocean.

º        Ica has the biggest extension in the region. It has a variated territory with wide and arid prairies, characteristic of a desert, valleys and hills.

º        It has  warm weather, desertic area and without rainfall in the Coast with an average weather of 23ºC.

DISTANCES AND ACCESS ROUTES:

From Lima city, it is around 303 km to Ica city.

The access to Ica is the following:
By car: Lima-Ica: 303 Km. By the Panamericana Sur roadway (4 hours by car)

By plane:There are no  regular flights. The service of Air Taxi is offered

from Lima.

º        The travel agencies can help you if you would like go to ica with friend or family, they have many tourist circuits where you can do many activities for example you can go for many landscapes in tubular car, this is very interesting . Also you can visit the desert and you can do many sports activities.

º        Many tourists like going to the Huachachina lagoon and the travel agencies have a lot of work because they take care of the tourists and they find the hotel and the restaurants for them.

º        The travel agencies in Ica are very cheap, there packages for S/.35 to S/. 70
