HUACACHINA`S  LAGOON  PRESERVATION PROJECT

The lagoon or oasis of Huacachina is located at five kilometers at the west of Ica`s city. In Peru it is know as a real natural oasis in the middle of whitening desert`s sand.

Near the lagoon are hotels and houses, also is a beautiful jetty around the lagoon with railings, boulevards and bathrooms for the visitors.

But the lagoon is a mess, without cleaning and conservation of the environment. All of these things destroy all the life in the lagoon.

HUACACHINA

 Principal problems in the Huacahina`s Lagoon:

Erosion: this happens because the fields are constantly under the sun and for the tourists that use these fields as roads.

Contamination: Around the lagoon, but mostly the water of the lagoon is suffer by the trash of the tourists that doesn’t has idea of the danger of this.

Over operation: A massive use of the lagoon as a touristic resource would make a lost of the same resource and the damage could be irreparable.

General Objective:

Make the operation in the lagoon very careful, we have to take care of this resource, also the people of the region, tourists and government to achieve an ideally system of conservation.

Specific Objectives:

Achieve a number of visitors that could be received without damage the environment.

Increase the number of the touristic offer, with that we can bring all the facilities for the actual number of tourists.

Pre Operation Level:

The tourists of other countries don’t come her with the only idea of know new places and enjoy new experiences, also they come with they idea of bring help to the environment. Because that is that we know that the project would be great for the tourist.

The increase of the touristic offer has to be very careful, because the construction of new hotels, restaurants, etc. would damage the natural environment. These studies for know the danger of damage are going to be responsibility of the SERNANP.

At a first time are going to start the construction or roadways and also of the new touristic offer. The objective of all is to create an attractive that the government and the private enterprises want to help to the project.

In a second time we are going to talk to the villagers to create a feeling of proud with this resource and make a compromise for star take care the lagoon.

In a third time is the publicity all the ways to make known this place, in this can help PROMPERU and MINCETUR.

Ø  Create a plan of cleaning all around the lagoon.

 

Ø  Make the villagers and tourists take conscience of the environment.

Ø  All the touristic services have to been legal to increase the quality of the service.

Ø  Create the ecologic police, who is going to take care of the rules in the lagoon.

Ø  Educate the people who bring the service of adventure sport for a not over operation of the natural resources.

Ø  Construction of touristic services that have a relation with the environment.

Ø  Construction of new roadways.
